Tinkercad is a free, easy-to-use app for 3D design, electronics, and coding. It's used by teachers, kids, hobbyists, and designers to imagine, design, and make anything! Tinkercad is an online collection of software tools that help people all over the world think, create, and make. We’re the ideal introduction to Autodesk, the leader in 3D design, engineering, and entertainment software. When I am teaching mathematics in the upper years the hands-on resources become quite minimal for us to use. Tinkercad is an app that my students can use so that they can have the visuals and the manipulatives that they need to complete their tasks. Students have been able to extend their understanding of mathematical topics because of this app. Students start with the basic concept of shape and end up designing an inclusive playground to be built in their school. Once students have reached the extended activities they begin to explore multiple curriculum areas and priorities.
