Book creator is an app that unleashes a student’s creativity. This app creates books. These books can be made by students at any year level and by any ability level. What students can do with this app is create:

• Interactive stories

• Digital portfolios

• Research journals

• Poetry

• Science reports

• Instructional manuals

• “about me” books

• Comic adventures

In my year 6 class, my students have used this in all key learning areas. English, to write an imaginative short story. Mathematics to instruct how to use the BOMDAS. Science o inform communities on how to prepare for a natural disaster. History to tell the story f a child who was taken during the stolen generations.

This is only 4 examples out of the millions this app can be used for. Book creator is not just for English based activities, it needs to be used across the curriculum to expose more literacy text to students.
