Code.org can be used for more than a digital technologies lesson. In my classroom of year 6 students, we have used this to create an animated display of how earthquakes affect the earth's surface. This task showed me as the teacher my student's understanding of the different types of earthquakes that can occur. Below is a lesson plan straight from code.org. This plan, identifies the ideas, background knowledge, tips, and a demonstration.

Code.org is an app that provides students with a problem-solving solution to demonstrate their knowledge. Their ability to use this technology and create something new pushes them to be in control of their own learning.
